Extend vR Ops to integration beyond notification and launch in context: deliver metrics (i.e. number of events, number of error / warning events, number of tasks, kernel warnings, VOB events) to vROps and match it to existing vROps objects (vCenter, hosts, VMs).

I'd like to see us add the Log Insight query strings on kb.vmware.com articles where applicable.
Had en issue - created an content pack 🙂
So here it is the HP OA content pack. All there is required is to set HP OA til send syslog to log insight.
It has three dashboards - Overview, changes and authentication.
Overview gives you quick insight to changes and problems in your environment.
Changes - is all about changes made by humans
Authentication - shows login attempts and failures
Everytime I want to import a content pack, I never see the "import content pack" button because it is at the bottom of the screen (and sometimes my web browser opens pretty big).
Move the button up!
The ability to have Log Insight perform a bi-directional look up to provide us with the host names associated to IP address' listed in log content (and vice versa) will enhance general troubleshooting.
This feature is already available in other logging products such as KIWI.
Hello, I am wondering if any one has created or know of a content pack for Cisco MDS switches
Since Citrix still has "some marketshare", it would make sense to deliver a CP for it.
I would appreciate support for the content packs for german language, e.g. for german vCenter systems or german Windows-systems.
Currently my Windows machines (even Active Directory) are [sadly] running with german language and it's not that easy so switch the system language on Domaincontrollers afterwards.
Rather than copy/pasting it all in here, I have attatched a file with the setup instruction.
1. In the beginning of the file, the first two lines after "Configuring the vRealize Log Insight Agent". Goes on about the liagent.ini need to be modified.

We have some users that want to build dashboards for our entire team to consume but we don't want to give them (or their group) privileges to create arbitrary content. It would be nice if there was a feature that allowed you to promote content created by users to be shared by everyone.
When you go to look at stuff in My Content or Shared Content in the Content Packs view of Log Insight, you can't delete any content you don't want from there. You have to first open up the dashboard, query, extracted field, etc. in either the Dashboards or Interactive Analytics view. This feels like an unnecessary step. You should probably be allowed to delete things directly from the Content Packs view.
