Upon request from our security people, I have made a PowerShell module that collects non-log data from AD and pushes it as logs to the loginsight server. This way they can have a Dashboard of data that is either not accessible from logs, or where log retreival would mean a massive search from all data available, and thus very slow searches. I have built this in this way: 1. Powershell scripts running as scheduled jobs ...more »
I had a previous request about this, and the response was to just change URL /home to get around it.
Well in the New Version 4.3 i removed a content pack, and got same problem, but now /home Returns me to the full url With the content pack that fails. There must be a way to check if the content pack exists, and if not redirect you to my Dashboard.
I was working on making a presentation of different values, and it struck me that it was exposing a lot of different values. One Place i got a Count, and another Place i had MB while on the NeXT one there was bytes. In making comparative Dashboards there should be the ability to use a Math factor for either multiplying or dividing the number you have, so you can alter the exposed value to the desired resultset.
I was trying to use the gauge Control to be an alert overview if i had less than a certain number of DNS servers, ESXi hosts and so on. And i thought having it presented With red color when everything was ok, wasnt exactly right. I tried reversing the scale, and that didnt work. Then i tried to adjust the alert values in reverse order, but that didnt work as well. Is there any way to use the gauge Control in reverse?

After doing a mass deploy of agents i found that all agents come With auto_update=yes commented out, and if I use the option to change it in the agent Groups, it will not work as the agent obviously reads the local file at the time where the auto update is triggered. For me ...more »

Some content packs like the Cisco Nexus one, or Netapp requires you to add a new VIP to be able to add a product tag. It shouldnt be required to add a whole new VIP for this,
as in my personal opinion you should be able to auto tag logs based on IP or hostnames. This would reduce the deployment complexity on the network side, and should make it easier to add content packs for more products.
If a content pack is removed and it was the last dashboard you had up, you will be stuck at loading when trying to enter a dashboard.
